Liu Zheng is one of China's foremost young contemporary photographer. He graduated in 1991 and started as a photojournalist for the newspaper The Worker's Daily, covering the mining industry. His work has been exhibited at the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Smart Museum of Art in Chicago and in Tokyo. He recently took part in Chinese Conceptual Photography at the Loft Gallery, Paris (2001) and in Next Generation, Passage de Retz, Paris (2001). This is the first time his work is exhibited in the UK. Liu Zheng lives and works in Beijing
