Franko
B. is an internationally acclaimed visual and performance artist
whose practices focus on his raw, exposed and bleeding body.
His
work reduces the body to its most carnal, existential and essential
state, confronting us with the essence of the human condition in
an objectified, stark, vulnerable and seductive powerful form.
Working
with the mediums of performance, installation, photography, video
and, for the first time, painting, his concern is to make the unbearable
bearable and to provoke us to reconsider our understanding of beauty.
Franko
B is reviewed in the February 2000 issue of Sleazenation and the
April 2000 issue of Flux Magazine.
