The work I've submitted is made using black ink on paper. I wanted to
make an image of Pierre and Gary, Christmas, and The Centre of Attention all
rolled into one. Twenty or more paintings were made but only four were
kept.
I wanted to suggest or portray a happy and creative connection between
artist and curator. Also the exhibition space interests me greatly; in
particular how it provides a social, intellectual and sexual role.

I can't always account for what appears in my work. A minor thought or
distraction can upset and unnerve any plan I might have before I begin
drawing or painting. This used to bother me but not anymore.
Interesting work doesn't stem purely from technique or intellect but something
equivalent to your own boredom and frustration.
