Gary & Pierre's Void Portrait comes from a series of video portraits captured in Al + Al's blue screen special effects studio. When the person arrives at the studio Al + Al immediately leave the person alone, in the void of the blue screen studio, with the camera left running.

When Al + Al return to the studio they begin working on what the person has left them on tape, taking them on an unmade journey. For each person they build a paradise.
The portrait is a video postcard from their own journey into the void.
