Dear Pierre The entry attached Dream Team Art Gamble is a Microsoft word Doc. You would need to designate a dreamteam@thecentre ofattention.org space on your website if you werre to get it going properly. Mind you the whole thing is just a wind-up really but it might be fun to set the ball rolling and kick off the new season with a little fun. Best Regards Tim Flitcroft |

Decision Piece A coin flipped as an aid to making a decision, then flipped again (and again?) until the result is that for which one unconsciously hoped. |

Hello Pierre, Here is a sketch of a painting of mine...the fact it is on computer, done how it has been takes away any meaning it ever had, now it is just a scribble, I don't know if it is art but I guess it is because it's a sketch? hope you like it. VOTE FOR ME! Craig www.craigatkinson.co.uk

Dear Pierre, Thank you for the wonderful surprises in my mailbox. This work is based upon the account in James Joyce's biography by Richard Ellman. Naughty James kept a pair of doll underwear in his pocket. Sometimes at the dinner table he would trot them out for the amusement of his friends. Best, Heather Ryan Kelley | |

Antony I was thinking over your Brink lighting idea. i`m not saying its not do-able (trannies and links still available at cost), Lawson however wants to cover his ass and I think the way he wants to do it is to put brink on hold and use it only if his light industrials don`t realise. For 2002 we have the major conversion of south to do - you are penciled for op. chief, so I am hoping you will concentrate on this major task in hand and leave the brain child until the picture with Dave is clearer. On a totally different note, Amy was talking with Fish about a rubber plant campaign, ie. get rid of them, he wants to get everyone`s opinion first and suggestions for replacements. Apparantly the one`s on her floor are rotting or something! If you want to talk at all please drop by, Andy Figgis |

09/11/02 40 minutes drawing 4.0 4.1 I determine to produce one tracing today using line only. 4.2 I begin at 11am. 4.3 I determine to use only one pencil and to trace only the marks
made by the previous occupant (the marks, the staples, the Velcro),my
previous interactions (staples; used to mount the paper) and any protrusions
from the wall i.e. screws used to mount the wall and small bumps where
the paint has dried. (The marks made by others; technicians, caretakers).
4.4 I begin drawing , I note my position. 4.5 I draw quickly from top to bottom. 4.6 The paper is hung vertically in rolls like wallpaper. 4.7 I move from left to right but I notice that I draw from right
to left a result of my left-handedness. 4.8 I stand on a chair. 4.9 I stand. 4.10 I bend. 4.11 I squat. 4.12 I determine to work quickly and simply trace or record the marks;
I do not want to impose my will on the wall. 4.13 Sometimes I deviate from my course recording top-right-left, middle-centre,
left, right, bottom right, centre, left , top, right, centre, left,
middle-centre, right, left, bottom-centre, right, left but never left-centre-right.
4.14 I never deviate from the roll. 4.15 My pencil begins to blunt. 4.16 I determine that I will continue without sharpening the pencil.
4.17 This and the pencil¹s interaction with the wall determines the
marks I make; thickness of line, pressure on paper. 4.18 I feel like I am working more quickly. Is this because I feel
that the condition of the pencil may not allow me to finish the recording
or is this an illusion because I have imposed certain conditions on
this exercise ( i.e. to work quickly and use only one pencil)? 4.19 My hand cramps, this sparks a memory; sitting in the exam hall
at St. Peter¹s Grammar school ; the pressure to finish an exam. 4.20 I change the way I hold my pencil. 4.21 This changes the marks I make. 4.22 The cramp stops, I resume my normal hand position. 4.23 Cramp. 4.24 Change. 4.25 Stop. 4.26 Change. 4.27 Pencil becoming blunter, I turn it in my hand. 4.28 Stand on chair, bend, stand , squat, move chair, stand, bend,
stand , squat, left-right,right-left, bottom-right. 4.29 Stop. Mask off area of chair at stop position. 4.30 Note time; 11.40. 4.31 Record details on masking-tape on floor using pencil -40 mins.
Drawing exercise using Berol Turquoise HB Pencil. 4.32 Walk back to start point with chair. 4.33 Determine approximate start point by looking at first recording.
4.34 Site chair. Mask off start position. Record start time 11am. 4.35 Place chair in work space. 4.36 Photograph pencil ,mount pencil on wall. 4.37 Photograph course from stop to start. 4.38 Close-up/stop position. 4.39 Close-up/start position. 4.40 Photograph course from start to stop. 4.41 Back to front/right to left. |
