Luke Caulfield


Luke Caulfield studied at the Slade 1996-2000 after a Drama degree at the University of London and working as an assistant director at the National Theatre Studio.

In a style that stresses ordinariness and a laborious consumption of time the paintings are re-enactments within a systematic process. Through layers of editing, slippage is investigated between visual codes, reality/fiction and an object/image's potential to trigger different reactions to time.
