Perpetual Motion in the Land of Milk and Honey

AL + AL's Grandfather is a retired engineer and inventor who has been on a life time quest to create perpetual motion and supply free power for the people. During a telephone call with the Lamb of God, Britney Spears sabotages this lifelong endeavour to break the law of physics and sets in motion her own drive for infinity. The conflict produces a series of alchemical events which have only one consequence, a land flowing with milk and honey.
Perpetual Motion in the Land of Milk and Honey was commissioned by animate! funded through arts council England and channel 4 television.

AL + AL live and work inside their own special effects movie.
Each film they produce becomes a document of their time spent escaping and shadowing reality.

AL + AL met in Derek Jarman's garden in Dungeness, England in 1997. After receiving first class Honours in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins School of Art in 2001, AL + AL moved to the east end of London and built a blue screen special effects studio where they live and work today. From their earliest work AL + AL have replaced reality with computer generated simulated environments which they programme and then explore by performing in their blue screen studio. AL + AL work with video installation, sculpture, painting and drawing. They have received numerous awards for their work from the Arts Council of England, Channel 4 television, Film London, ACAVA and Acme.
