The project will -
Utilise the existing enfillade arrangement of rooms.
Maintain the existing connection to landscape with views, axis and routes
The building becomes a functional container for the production of art and its curatorship
Look to the building for inspiration
The new is not subservient whilst neither is the old.
Reclad the existing to make spaces habitable
Offer flexible spaces that can be used as needs arise
But the building will still have an organisational logic that connects the building to its program as well as orientation and landscape.
Making flexible spaces that could be used as
dormitories or studios
Beginning to inhabit Sutton Scarsdale Hall
